Thursday May 6th marked the LAUNCH of the EVER Pop Up Shop at AK511. If you are unfamiliar with EVER, EVER is a casual luxury lifestyle brand, influenced by global culture that creates contemporary clothing and accessories for men and women. Based out of Southern California, Ever is about clever details and quality craftsmanship with a special sense of discovery in each piece. With emphasis on staying true to classic bodies, while elevating the construction and finishing processes, the collections have a casual and timeless tone. They specialize in amazing distressed and washed denim and textiles that feel like a second skin, literally. Ever has sought to find the best materials available and artisan touches that distinguish each garment.
Today marks the first friday of the month, so tonight is Abbot Kinney’s infamous “First Friday” – a monthly art walk and street fair that kicks off at 6pm and goes on throughout the night in the city of Venice off of Abbot Kinney. Lo and behold it’s AK1511′s prime location, so we will be staying open late until to celebrate the launch of EVER! Come on down and check out the store, along with amazing sale prices we have in store! The Ever Pop Up Shop will be at AK1511 (1511 Abbot Kinney) through July 4th. This past Friday we hosted a shopping event for our April showcase, the LXRY LTD Pop Up Shop, marking their last weeks at AK1511. SAD SAD SAD. We love the ladies, and the cute stuff… and so does everyone else. Do not fear because we still have the weekend left until Sunday May 2nd, and then we close up shop and make room for next’s month’s showcase Pop Up brand, Ever. On Friday we celebrated with drinks provided by Belvedere and AMP, as well as banging tunes by Venice local, DJ Valida, yNOT?, and ???????. Music filled the air, the Belvi and Amp was flowing, and so were the people, the shopping, and DE-LISH snacks provided by Justin Ian and Sarah from “Just-In-The-Raw” bringing us raw vegan chocolate-filled cannoli and lettuce leaf tacos! Finger-licking amazing! Peep the pictures for a little taste of what you missed…

On Friday the XLARGE and Han Cholo br0ught the best of their best out for a send-off to end all send-offs. Shopping & shmoozing & swigging = a most excellent time had by all, with Snoop’s own DJ BattleCat there on the tables along with Mykestro to support.

Happy MoM (Middle of March), kids, think it’s time for a little pop-up up-date….

First & foremost, the latest arrival at the shop is this brand-spanking-new collection of gorgeous cork and waxed canvas bags from Peasants & Travelers. We are STOKED to be the first ones to carry this collection – it is so classic and yet so cool! Already a huge hit with the Venice crowd & flying off the shelves. Very tailored-but-natural look with everything from messenger bags to slim totes to a diaper bag (mamas take note!).
Now everyone’s been clamoring for pictures of the infamous Claw Money sunglasses we can for only $99/pair… ok fine, here:
The store is looking fresh with updated XLARGE racks and new outfits on the mannies (people keep buying what they’re wearing!)…

We hosted The Seventh Letter/Known Gallery’s FREEDOM show at S.L.A.T.E. a few weeks ago and now the awesome show is opening on streetwear row… I mean Fairfax!
